First ever Hypercerts Ecosystem Round

The Hypercerts Foundation and Community conducted their inaugural community round on Gitcoin during GG20, with support from various team members across both organizations.

The Hypercerts Ecosystem

The Hypercerts Foundation aims to "advance the development and adoption of open-source protocols for funding and rewarding positive impact." The round supported projects building on hypercerts primitives to create "interconnected, dynamic funding networks."

Types of Projects in the Hypercerts Ecosystem

Five project categories were prioritized:

  1. New Applications: Prize competitions using hypercerts infrastructure
  2. Integrations: Hypercerts adoption in existing funding platforms
  3. Tooling: Tools extending functionality across integrations
  4. Pilot Use Cases: Tangible implementations of new features
  5. Community Support (DevRel): Technical expertise provision

Applications: Exceeding Expectations

  • Accepted: 35 projects
  • Rejected: 12 projects

Distribution by category included 5 new platforms, 13 integrations, 2 tooling projects, 13 pilot use cases, and 2 DevRel/community support initiatives.

Crowdfunded Donations

Over $9,000 was raised, with VoiceDeck receiving the highest amount ($1,745), Atlantis attracting the most contributors (113), and Spark | Deresy & Hyperminter securing the largest matching amount ($4,658).

Matching Funders

Three organizations provided $60,000 in matching funds: Gitcoin, Thank ARB, and Protocol Labs.
